Lock 7 Jaycee park is one of several great birding sites along the northern and northwestern shore of Lake Okeechobee. During your stay in Okeechobee, take a birding tour south along route 78, to see Red Tailed hawks and the elusive Crested Caracara.
The ducks listed above are typically seen during the fall and winter seasons.
From Okeechobee, Florida, take US 441 South 3 miles, to SR 78. Turn right (east); Then take an immediate left to cross over Hoover Dike. The site is on the lake side of the dike.
